"Mitt Romney has made it clear that he opposes same-sex marriage. However, he isn't just against moving forward on marriage equality. He opposes civil unions -- which even George W. Bush supported -- and would allow states to eliminate a whole range of equal rights and benefits for same-sex couples, including the right to make emergency medical decisions for a partner."
